Privacy policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
This website is purely informational. It has no accounts, no forms, no analytics and no cookies. What is processed nevertheless is set out here.
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of Art. 4 (7) GDPR is:
FS/CS GmbH
Mühlstr. 13–15, 63667 Nidda, Germany
represented by its managing director Falk Schmidt, LL.M.
Phone: +49 6043 57590-50
Email: hallo@portego.eu
For data protection enquiries: datenschutz@portego.eu.
2. Access logs
Like every web server, ours processes technically necessary connection data on each request:
- the IP address of the requesting device,
- the date and time of the request,
- the address requested and the status code of the response,
- the amount of data transferred,
- the identifier sent by the browser (user agent) and, where applicable, the referring page.
The purpose is secure and undisturbed operation: delivering the page, detecting and repelling attacks, and troubleshooting. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the operation and security of this service.
Retention: The logs are deleted automatically after 14 days at the latest. In practice it happens considerably sooner: the logs of every service on the server share one size limit, and once it is reached the oldest entries drop out. This data is not combined with other sources, and no usage profiles are derived from it.
3. No cookies, no analytics, nothing from other servers
This site sets no cookies and measures nothing. It embeds no content from external servers — the fonts, too, are served from our own server. There is therefore nothing here to click away.
One exception, and only you can create it: If you pick
an appearance in the top right corner, your browser stores that choice
under the name fs_theme in its local storage. It contains
nothing but the word light or dark. The entry
does not leave your device, is not transmitted to us and is not read by
us. It requires no consent under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, because it
stores precisely the setting you asked for. Switching back to “follow
the system” deletes it.
Links to other websites are recognisable as such. Only when you click one does the provider there learn anything about you; their own privacy policy applies to their processing.
4. Recipients
The website is operated in a data centre in Germany. The service provider is Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen, as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR; a data processing agreement is in place. There are no other recipients.
No data is transferred to third countries.
5. No obligation, no automated decisions
You are under no legal or contractual obligation to provide us with data. Processing the access data is technically unavoidable in order to deliver the page. No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
6. Your rights
- Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15),
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16),
- Erasure (Art. 17),
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18),
- Data portability (Art. 20),
- Objection to processing (Art. 21).
Please write to datenschutz@portego.eu. For a request concerning access logs we need the approximate time of the request and the IP address used; without both, the entries cannot be identified.
7. Right to object
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your data where it is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, that is, to the processing of the access logs. We will then no longer process that data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.
8. Complaint to a supervisory authority
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:
Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit
Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, Germany
9. Different rules apply to the application
At app.portego.eu (öffnet in neuem Tab) personal data really is processed: accounts, sessions, attendance, badges. What is stored there, for how long and how to have it deleted is set out in the privacy policy of the application (öffnet in neuem Tab). Each event additionally carries that of its organiser.
The German version governs. This page is a reading aid. Where it differs from the German privacy policy, the German wording applies.
